Human Training. Dog Teaching.
There are few things as exciting, and overwhelming, as a new puppy. So much energy and so much for everyone to learn it can be hard to know where to start.
To help your whole family, puppy and people, get things off to the right start we offer fun and hands-on New Puppy Classes for dogs 8 weeks old up to 5 months with our experienced and Certified Dog Trainer Amanda Matthews.
Your puppy will have fun socializing with other puppies their age in a safe environment, and learn valuable skills such as sit, down, come, stay and walking politely on a leash. You'll learn how to use Positive Reinforcement methods to help your puppy have fun learning while building a strong bond with you and your family. Classes will also cover important topics such as potty training, teething and problem behaviors such as jumping and barking. These classes are all about having fun with your new puppy and giving them socialization time at this crucial age in their life. Your entire family is encouraged to participate.
Classes are taught at our hospital on Sundays and sessions last 6 weeks with each class lasting approximately 50 minutes. Class sizes are small, with 6-8 puppies in each class, to allow for individualized attention and one-on-one guidance.
We also host a FREE puppy play time every Sunday from 3:30-4:00, open to anyone! UPDATE - canceled until April 2019 due to construction.
Adult dog classes are also offered on an on-demand basis, so please call to see if one is starting soon or to be notified when the next class is starting.
